Skoda has come up with a new proposition. This time, it plans on working on a new MPV that it would launch in the medium to large sector. The car has been planned to offer more space than the Roomster that is one of Skoda’s current products in the market. Dr. Eckhard Scholz the company’s technical chief said that the model was being planned as a 4x4 brand. He also said that the product would surely be manufactured as it depicts everything that Skoda represents.
Critics are of the opinion that the new MPV would just be a revised version of Volkswagen Saharan. However, Dr Scholz has reassured Skoda customers that the car would not be anything like the Volkswagen Saharan or the Seat Alhambra twins. He also said that they had several ideas for the design of the car and that they had in the past launched designs that were completely their own creation when it came to the design. Here he mentioned Roomster and Yeti, which are both Skoda’s current products in the 4x4 sector market.
However, the project is still under consideration and it would take a few weeks before anything is finalized. The company also plans to come up with a car smaller than its own production – Fabia Supermini. However, Scholz said that the car would not be as fashionable. However, Scholz also made it clear that their cars were being manufactured and designed keeping in mind Skoda’s total market around the world and not only the western markets.
With this news spreading like wildfire, there are buyers who are widely supporting this idea. Thus, the production of the MPV is eagerly awaited.
