The title of the European Car of The Year 2008 has a clear winner- the Fiat 500. The compact retro chic Fiat 500 won with an aggregate score of 385 points. It also won the minds and hearts of all the 58 international jurors of the Car of the Year. The Fiat 500 got highest scores from 42 jurors out of the total 58 and the car was liked in particular by the French, Russians, Swiss and Italians.
The Germans gave this car a low score and the Portuguese juror awarded no points to this car. The
Fiat 500 is a re-modeled classic version of a city car. The retro look
of the Fiat 500 seems very attractive and appealing and one is taken
back to the early eras. The car size is small and compact, exactly
suitable for city driving. The car has been a through and through
winner owing to its stylish looks, advanced safety features, high
quality interiors and wide range of engines and models. The car comes
with 3 types of motors-12 liter 4- cylinder petrol, 14 liter Starjet
4-cylinder 16 valves petrol and 13 liter Multijet 4-cylinder diesel.
The Fiat 500 comes in 3 versions- Sport, Pop and Lounge. The price range of
this car varies from 12,000 euros to 14,000 euros and more. The Fiat
Company won the Award for the Car of the Year for the 12th time with the latest win for the Fiat 500 car.
