Fisker Coachbuild along with Quantum Technologies is coming out with the first vehicle of Fisker Automotive Inc. in 2009. The Fisker 2009 is a premium sports car with four door plug in. The car will be introduced in the Detroit Auto Show in January 2009. The Fisker 2009 hybrid is featured with a brand new ground up platform. The new breakthrough chassis allows the creation of fully proportioned 4 door premium sports vehicle.

Fisker 2009 has a sleek design with an accentuated hood. The battery pack is placed at the centre of the vehicle positioned in between the 2 axles. This ensures proportionate design, maximum safety and optimal dynamics of driving. Quantum Technologies is partnering in a joint venture for the testing, certification, drive, development and standard performance of the new vehicle. The Fisker 2009 car has impressive performance details; it achieves 80 kms on a complete electric charge. Its total range can be extended to more than 1000 kms by further utilization of a diesel or gasoline Fisker engine.

The new Fisker will have a very good mileage that is 100 miles\ gallon. This will help in reducing foreign oil imports. The car is likely to be priced at $80,000. The annual production is projected at 15,000 cars and the initial deliveries will be made in the last quarter of 2009. Fisker 2009 is sure to be a major hit in the eco friendly section.
